The Earth Federation in Coreline is an amalgam of many similar organizations from various series, primarily the Earth Federation from the Universal Century timeline of Gundam, but also including the Earth Sphere Unified Nation from the After Colony timeline, the New United Nations Earth of the After War timeline, the Earth Alliance of the Cosmic Era, the Earth Sphere Federation from the Anno Domini timeline (of the Gundam franchise, not to be confused with the AD calender), the Earth Federation from the Advanced Generation timeline, the U.N. Spacy/New U.N. Spacy from Macross, and the Earth Federation from the Original Generation timeline of Super Robot Wars. It controls only part of Earth, however. The main territories of the Earth Federation include the Calfornia Base and surrounding areas, which covers a large portion of California, Odessa in Ukraine and the surrounding mines (technically while they have declared Ukraine a “Federation protectorate”, they let the country govern itself and merely have a base near Odessa to protect the mines), Taribia (though this territory is shared with Guyana and Venezuela), Moralia (also Monaco), the Duchy of Riksent, Side 1 at L5, Side 4 at L5, Side 7 at L3, the L1 colony cluster, L2 colony cluster, L3 colony cluster, L4 colony cluster and L5 colony cluster. though also including specific cities and military bases, including parts of Paris, France (which is the Capitol of the Earth Federation), parts of Dakar (which is location of the Federation Assembly), Langley Base (co-owned by the Earth Federation and United States), Jaburo somewhere in South America and Izu Base in Japan. Thanks to the addition of the New U.N Spacy to the Federation, they even have colonies outside the Solar System. The current Earth Federation was formed out of the chaos of 23 hours, as the different organizations making it up joined together to survive. The component parts do not always work together perfectly, especially considering that it includes opposing organizations like the Titans and AEUG/Karaba/Londo Bell and is influenced in part by groups like the racist Blue Cosmos/Logos and the Romefeller Foundation.
The main mass production mech of the Earth Federation is the RGM-122S Strike Javelin (though many RGM-122 units have not been upgraded to the RGM-122S yet), with the RPT-010 Huckebein Mk II M being a close second in regards to production and the RAM-004Y Lion Y being even more common than the Huckebein, but having slower continued production. Anaheim Electronics’ MS-50A Zaku 50 is also undergoing new trials to see if it should be adopted by the Space Forces. However, the Earth Federation must often make due with a variety of often less advanced and less powerful mechs, including the RGM-89 Jegan (the RGM-89J Jegan Normal Type is the preferred type, however older variants are still common, also Londo Bell has a lot of pilots who are familar with the Jegan and due to their elite status are able to request upgraded versions instead of upgrading to the newer Javelin), the RGM-86R GM III (and older GM units, though many are being upgraded), the RGM-119 Jamesgun (the slightly older “brother” of Javelin), the GAT-02L2 Dagger L, the GAT-04 Windam (actually has comparable stats to the Javelin, but has not been considered for continued production primarily due to it’s greater cost), DT-6800A Daughtress, NRX-009 Balient, NRX-018-2 Daughtress Neo, GNX-803T GN-XIV (has superior performance to the Javelin, but has not been adopted as the main mech of the Earth Federation Forces due to the relative difficulty of manufacturing GN Tau Drives), RGE-G1500 Adele Mk-II, RGE-G1500 Adele Mk-II (Space Type), RGE-G2100 Clanche (still receiving limited production, since it performance is similar to the Javelin and it has transformation capabilities), the VF-19 Excalibur (still the main mass production variable fighter), and RPT-007 Gespenst Mk II (being upgraded into the limited production Gespenst MK II Custom) amongst others. The Earth Federation also uses mobile pods, most notably the RB-133 Ball, and mobile armors, most notably the TS-MB1B Euclid.
The Earth Federation has an alliance with the United Federation of Planets, agreeing to help each other fight external threats. This has even extended to some Starfleet vessels being modified to carry mobile suits, though they usually, must make due without MS catapults and assigned Earth Federation mobile suit teams. They also have a less formal alliance with the United Earth Directorate. The Earth Federation maintains diplomatic relations with most of the surviving governments of major powers.
